How booking works

Four steps, payment by USD bank transfer, and the terms you agree to when you pay. Please read the cancellation policy before sending a deposit.

HOW TO BOOK

Four steps

Please check availability with us before sending any payment.

Send an inquiry

Week, cabin, number of divers, certification level and logged dives. By WhatsApp, LINE, WeChat, email or the form below.

We hold the cabin

We confirm what is open and hold it for you for 48 hours. We may ask about your diving experience and, for shared twins, your sex, so cabins match.

Deposit by bank transfer

US dollars, to the account on your written confirmation. The booking is confirmed when the deposit arrives.

Balance, then the details

Pay the balance by the date on your confirmation. Then we send flight, transfer and packing guidance and collect your passport details for the vessel.

PAYMENT

USD bank transfer

  • All payments are by international bank transfer in US dollars to the account stated on your confirmation. We do not accept cards, PayPal or cash on board for the cabin.
  • Bank charges on the sending side are yours; please instruct your bank so that the full amount arrives. Charges on our side are ours.
  • With departures this close, the deposit and balance dates are short. Both dates are stated on your confirmation and are binding.
  • The marine park fee and transfers ($320) and the fuel surcharge ($150) are separate from the cabin rate. We confirm the amount and how to pay them with your booking.
CANCELLATION & TERMS

What you agree to

These are the same terms our Korean guests sail under. Any payment, even a partial one, is your acceptance of them.

Cancellation and refunds

  1. Payments are not refunded when you cancel for a change of mind or for personal circumstances.
  2. If a payment is not received by the date on your confirmation, the booking is cancelled and payments already made are not refunded.
  3. If a waitlisted diver can take your place immediately, 70% of what you have paid is refunded. The remaining 30% covers transfer fees, administration and the name-change penalty.
  4. Where a refund is not possible, you may transfer your place to another diver. The transfer is confirmed only after we verify the new diver's certification, logged dives and cabin-share suitability.

Nature of the contract

  1. This is the sale of a boarding ticket on a liveaboard vessel, not a package tour.
  2. Our responsibility runs from embarkation to disembarkation. Getting to and from Sorong, including flight delays, cancellations and personal transport, is not included.
  3. Any payment, even a partial one, confirms that you accept these terms, with the same effect as a signed contract.
  4. Dive accident insurance and travel insurance are required. Costs arising from an incident without insurance are borne by the participant.
  5. Photographs and video taken during the trip may be used on our website and social media.

On board

  • Recreational, no-decompression diving within the limits set by the cruise director and dive guides.
  • No diving on the day you drink alcohol; drinks are for after the last dive.
  • Do not touch or disturb marine life.
  • Be considerate of the divers you share the boat with, in and out of the water.
FAQ

Questions we are asked

I dive alone. What are my options?

A Signature Single suite is yours alone, at the single rate. An Elite Twin is shared with another solo diver of the same sex, at the per-person rate. Tell us which you prefer.

Why does VELOCEAN's own website show these weeks as FULL?

Because they are chartered by us, the Korean distributor. The vessel does not sell them; we do. You sail on VELOCEAN with the same crew, guides and itinerary as any other week.

How experienced do I need to be?

Advanced Open Water or equivalent and 50 or more logged dives is what we recommend for Raja Ampat's currents. If you have fewer, tell us; some weeks and cabins can still work.

Do I need a visa for Indonesia?

Most nationalities can use Indonesia's visa on arrival or apply for an e-VOA online before travel. Check the current rules for your passport before you book flights.

What language is spoken on board?

English. VELOCEAN's crew and dive guides are international and brief in English. The Korean group on board has its own Korean-speaking leader.

Is rental equipment available?

Limited rental is available on request. Tell us what you need when you inquire and we will quote it. Bring your own dive computer.

Is nitrox really free?

Yes. VELOCEAN has a membrane nitrox system on board and includes nitrox for every certified guest. On most liveaboards it costs around $200 a trip.

What about tipping?

Gratuities for the crew are customary and at your discretion, given at the end of the trip.

Electricity and internet?

220 V with universal sockets in every suite and at the camera stations. 4G covers much of the route; where it does not, Starlink Wi-Fi is free for messaging and email.

Can I pay by card?

No. Cabins are paid by USD bank transfer only. The bank details are on your written confirmation.
